These handcrafted boxes are made of rare “Cocobolo
Rosewood.” In Latin it is called “Dalbergia Refusa”. “Cocobolo Rosewood”
weighs an amazing 70 pounds per cubic feet. Rare, beautiful and durable
“Cocobolo Rosewood” products become collectors items and can fetch a kings
ransom. Only highly skilled craftsmen are allowed to work with this prized
wood. Special epoxy and fasteners must be used on this dense resinous wood.
A hand crafted “Cocobolo Rosewood” cigar box is a perfect humidor for
cigars, maintaining the required temperature and moisture content to
preserve your cigars for future enjoyment.
Cocobolo Rosewood is considered to be one of the most beautifully exotic woods available in the world. Each Cocobolo Rosewood product is unique in coloring, ranging from a rich dark brick red to reddish or dark brown, with a figuring of darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. This lift-top model has an inset lid panel made of Spanish cedar to match the cedar lining. It is made with a full-length wood piano hinge with a brass rod inside, machine screws and specially formulated epoxy. The humidifier slides into a Cocobolo slatted casing inside the lid top.
